What are Sunflower Hearts?
Sunflower hearts are the kernels of black sunflower seeds, so the outer shell has been removed (de-husked). They are an excellent high energy food source for all wild birds that visit your garden. They provide birds with fast access to the most efficient source of essential high protein and oils required for them to flourish.
This seed has the highest energy content per weight of any of the popular wild bird foods. With the husks removed, there is no mess and they are a favourite food for most species of wild bird.
