For easy starting the HS 56 C-E hedge trimmer includes Stihl ErgoStart to significantly reducing the effort needed to start the engine when compared to conventional starters. The anti-vibration system helps to reduce the noise level of the engine as well as noticeably reducing the vibrations felt through the handles, for improved control and comfort.

The tool free filler cap provides convenient and easier refuelling, removing the need for tools to refill the tank. The HS 56 C-E includes a screwed on tip protector to prevent damage to the tip of the cutting bar when cutting close to the ground, walls and other obstacles. The long life air filter is more effective at protecting the engine from dust and debris when compared to standard filters, extending the service life of the hedge trimmer.

Single lever master control is easy to use, with the choke, starting gas, operating position and stop button, all located in one place for easier operation. The manual fuel pumps allows the user to deliver an additional amount of fuel to the carburettor, with just the touch of a button.
