Dodson and Horrell Barley rings can be fed dry or made into a mash using warm water (not too hot), creating a palatable mash to help with condition. It is a great way to feed linseed removing the need to cook and boil the linseed, as was part of the traditional method for feeding linseed. Linseed is a great source of omega 3 fatty acids, with its many health benefits.
Barley rings are a great winter feed to promote and maintain condition throughout the colder temperatures, especially in those horses working hard during the winter.
Feeding Guidelines
1 level Stubbs Scoop approximately contains: 1.2kg/2.7lbs
Feed 400g-1kg/100kg bodyweight per day in conjunction with free access to forage. Do not exceed 1kg/100kg bodyweight per day in total. Divide into at least 2-3 meals per day. Ensure a minimum intake of 2kg/100kg bodyweight of forage per day. Fresh drinking water must be available at all times. For use with target species only.
