The 2-stroke engine uses stratified charge, which reduces engine emissions through a fuel free layer of ar situated between the burned charge and the combustion chamber, as well as the fresh charge in the crankcase helping to reduce the fuel lost. This helps to improve efficiency whilst maintaining high power output and performance.

The BG 86 C-E features one handed control on the sure-grip handle, with the addition of an antistatic system to minimise electrostatic charging for comfort and ease of use. The engine can be easily stopped by simply switching the stop switch and the throttle lock to maintain the engine speed. When the engine has completely stopped the ignition reactivates ensuring the engine is ready to start again when needed.

The BG 86 C-E Petrol Blower includes the Stihl anti-vibration system for more comfortable and controlled handling. To prevent problems restarting the engine after lengthy breaks the BG 86 C-E Blower has been fitted with a a manual fuel pump, which allows you to inject fuel into the carburettor with the touch of the button.

As a professional machine the BG 86 C-E Blower has been fitted with the Stihl HD2 filter, which is made from polyethylene material featuring 70% finer pores for more effective engine protection. The HD2 filter helps to extend the life of the engine and is longer lasting when compared to standard air filters.
