This is an ideal bit to use when starting out schooling your horse to help to establish the basic skills. Its shape is gently curved to fit the shape of the horse's mouth and the Salox Gold metal which is made from a copper alloy is readily acceptable as it warms quickly to temperature of the horse's mouth. The metal will also encourage salivation and so making it more acceptable to a young horse. It can be used for lunging, long reining and general schooling. This bit is gentle and has tongue relief helping the horse to relax and lengthen in the contact with his rider.
