Horses often suffer minor wounds especially during turnout and more commonly when turned out with other horses. Fly bites can also be a common problem during the warmer spring/summer months. Most horses will have received a small wound, lump, bump or injury at some point and it's always a good idea to keep wound applications on hand for such incidents.
Wound applications can take the form of powders, sprays, gels etc and are antibacterial, often antifungal and great for cleansing minor wounds. Horseware's innovative product Hypocare covers a range of common complaints from thrush and mud fever to minor wounds. It comes as a liquid spray in various sizes. Applying a wound powder or spray will help to stop infection and aid in healing the wound. Most do not need to be rinsed off and help to soothe the wound whilst encouraging a hygienic and often faster recovery.
